Asian Hornet Threat

In the light of recent rapid increases in Asian Hornet sightings in the UK, the BBKA has ramped up the activities in this area and most recently arranged 2 very good talks given by Andrew Durham from Cambridgeshire Beekeepers’ Assocation. These are now on YouTube and the links are below :-

Part two: https://youtube.com/live/9SNvrq7oNBY

Furthermore, he has prepared several downloadable documents (pdfs) describing methods and techniques for managing the Asian Hornet threat in our apiaries for use by members and Associations only:

Asian Hornet The Beekeepers’ Guide – Integrated Control in the Apiary
Asian Hornet Beekeepers Guide – The Hornet & The Honey Bee
Asian Hornet Beekeepers Guide – Integrated Control in the Area Around the Apiary
Asian Hornet Beekeepers Guide – The Electric Harp

In addition, useful posters and flyers can be downloaded from the BBKA resources page here
